What does a crypto market maker do?
A crypto market maker manages buy and sell liquidity under defined quoting, inventory and risk rules. On order-book venues this typically means maintaining and adjusting orders; DEX work depends on the pool design. AMM scopes these services around the token, venues, capital and permissions available. The purpose is liquidity management, not a guaranteed price or manufactured trading activity.
Pre-listing & post-listing support
A listing brings together technical readiness, exchange requirements and liquidity planning. AMM works with projects to clarify the intended venue, token pair, launch timeline and trading configuration. After a launch, the focus shifts to monitoring market conditions and reviewing the agreed parameters.
- Trading-pair and venue requirements
- Integration and account-readiness checks
- Launch coordination and post-listing reviews
Deep & stable order books
Order book strategies organize buy and sell quotes across price levels. The scope can address spread, depth and rebalancing requirements. Quotes remain exposed to changing market conditions; a strategy cannot guarantee a specific price, trading volume or outcome.
CEX and DEX environments
Centralized and decentralized venues have different integration models. A CEX engagement may involve exchange API connectivity and order management. A DEX engagement requires an assessment of the protocol, available pools and relevant liquidity mechanisms.
Control, permissions and reporting
Trading access, asset custody, permitted operations and risk limits should be defined before an integration goes live. AMM connects exchange accounts through API keys; the exact setup is agreed for each venue.
